From
the President
March 2008
February's meeting was another fun and information packed night.
Our speaker, Carl Kaufman from Osterweis capital
management gave the best presentation on the bond market that
I have seen in my 22 years in financial services. His sense of
humor and conversational style made the subject entertaining
and educational. Our FPF member panel made up of board member, Jennifer
Cray, CFP , representing financial planning, board member Todd
Flesner representing the mortgage industry, and new
member John King, representing the real estate
industry, peppered Carl with questions on how interest rate and
credit cycles will impact their respective fields.
March's speaker is our very own Todd Flesner ! Whether you are
self employed or work for a big company, we all know the importance
of bringing in new clients. Todd's presentation titled Making
Rain: Positioning Yourself in the Market , will show
you how to make that process easy. I have heard Todd speak on
this subject and he is the master at networking and building
referral relationships. See you at the meeting and don't forget
to bring a guest!
